Travel Thursdays: The Enchanting Historical Park In Oregon Is One Of The Best Places To Enjoy Autumn
Why visit this park in the fall? Well, if you’re a history buff, you’ll know that Lewis and Clark and their Corps of Discovery crew were at Fort Clatsoff in the fall and winter months. So, you’ll get to experience a bit of what they did, particularly if it’s cold, wet, and windy!
Located on the coast near Astoria in a temperate rainforest, the park also offers immense natural beauty. So, really this destination has it all: history, adventure, and nature all in one outing.Visiting the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park is great any time of year but in fall you get to experience it as the Lewis and Clark adventurers did.
Take your time as you explore the exhibits as there is so much to learn and discover!
Just remember to bring your raincoats, umbrellas, and lots of layers!
What could be better than enjoying a cool fall in this beautiful setting—while also getting to learn about the history of the Lewis and Clark expedition?
