They think energy is just mental or physical, rarely take full rests, and almost never push their muscles to the limits or recharge them enough. If you want to improve your energy levels you must learn the following things: The 4 Different Energies —  Unlike what most people think we have 4 different ways to use Energy. In  The Power of Full Engagement  James E. Loehr and Tony Schwartz discuss these at length. Mental, Physical, Emotional & Spiritual. 8 Surprising Goods That Make You Gain Weight

Image
by Stephanie Watson Have you ever found yourself staring longingly at a piece of fried chicken but then thinking,  If I eat this, it’s going straight to my belly and thighs? You’re not entirely wrong. Eating too much of any type of food — whether carbohydrates, fat or protein — can make you gain weight. But while your body uses mostly carbs and protein for energy, foods that are high in saturated fat, like that fried chicken, make a beeline for your adipose (fat) tissue. “Unless you need that fat right now in this moment, it’s going to get stored,” says Melanie Murphy Richter, a Los Angeles-based registered dietitian. “It is true that excess fat has a direct line to your belly, and to other places where you hold fat in your adipose tissue.” It’s no surprise that certain foods are notorious for making us gain weight (we’re looking at you, burgers, french fries and milkshakes). Other foods seem healthy, until the scale tells us otherwise. Have you fallen into any of these food...

History Lesson Tuesdays: Dog Unearths Cave of Antiquity

Image
by Ray Setterfield September 12, 1940  — A French teenager took his dog for a walk on this day – a simple everyday event, but it was to lead to one of the most stunning archaeological discoveries of all time. Marcel Ravidat, an 18-year-old apprentice garage mechanic, took his dog, Robot, into hills near his home at Montignac in the Dordogne region of southwestern France. There, the story goes, Robot ran into a hole created by a fallen tree. Ravidat threw some stones into the hole and was surprised that they seemed to travel a long, long way down. Returning with some friends and a teacher he climbed down the hole and began to explore. The boys discovered what were to become known famously as the Lascaux cave paintings – estimated to be between 17,000 to 20,000 years old and excitedly described by experts as “the cradle of art”. In a cave complex arranged around a main cave about 20 metres long and five metres high were what turned out to be more than 2,000 painted and engraved...

Trump Off the Ballot?

Trump Off the Ballot by Occupy Democrats by Occupy Democrats BREAKING: ABC News drops bombshell, reveals that “efforts to keep Donald Trump off the 2024 ballot under the 14th Amendment” are “gaining steam” as “election officials in key states are preparing legal challenges to Trump's candidacy.” But it gets WAY worse for Donald Trump… ABC reports that “Arizona, Michigan, and New Hampshire” are “gaining momentum” in their quest to keep insurrectionist Trump off the ballot — which would decimate Trump’s chances of winning in 2024. Adding insult to injury for Trump, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson tells ABC News that “she and other secretaries of state from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire and Maine started having conversations over a year ago about preparing for the legal challenges to Trump's candidacy.” This news comes as legal scholars across America — from both sides of the political aisle — are calling for Trump to be banned due to Section 3 of the U.S...
